All right, I'm not sure what to think of this. Opinions everyone?
Many paranormal researchers don't believe anyone is capable of true exorcisms because spirits and demons leave on their own if they choose to do so - they cannot be forced to leave. Yet, others would disagree. This article describes a religious school training youngsters to be exorcists. I'm shaking my head.
I don't know where to begin.
First, for those of us who believe in demons (rare as they may be), there is NO WAY a teenage girl can be mentally ready to deal with the circumstances and ramifications of a demonic haunting. People involved in that field talk about how an ecounter can change the rest of your life. (see my interview with Chris Dedman)
The religeous aspect of demonology is complicated enough. Even if you look beyond that into the psychological aspects (which are there whether you believe in demons or not), I seriously doubt if your average teenager can be sufficiently trained in that part (if they can a lot of people are wasting a lot of money on college).
And what could possibly make a teenager want to devote their life to something like that?
