  This photo was sent to me by someone who is convinced that the object in the upper right frame is something paranormal. I told her I would get some outside opinions from people who know a lot more about photography than I do.

   

  I won't taint the conversation with my own opinion. What do you think it is? The EXIF data should be intact and I can tell you that the dogs travel at approximately 16mph. All opinions and/or explanations are appreciated.

  I originally thought "motion blurred light" or "bug". However, with a closer look, I believe this is a genuine free floating leaf captured at the moment of its autumnal plunge.

  Good eye, Rob! It really does look like a leaf floating down. I thought maybe a lens flare.

  Yeah, its a leaf. I spent the better part of an afternoon explaning how the soft focus is from her shutter speed being 1/60 and how its in the upper part of the flash field which explains the glow. But she is convinced. I thought maybe if enough people said "leaf" she might at least acknowledge that it COULD be a leaf.

  Good luck convincing her, I gave up trying. It is definitely a leaf. lol

  I agree with leaf, it also matches the color of all the other leaves on the ground next to the road. It also appears to be the same size as the already fallen leaves.

  Given the color, shape, size, it appears to me to be a falling leaf. At any rate, it's nothing that would suggest anything paranormal.
