I am NOT a fan of Frank's box! I am a fan of your senses, a cheap camera and a digital recorder. Frank's Box. OMG! Peeeeeeeeaaaaase. Stop already. LOL Maybe Frank should ask (next time) if there's a heaven, Jesus or a light at the end of the damn tunnel. Personal experiences are important and NO one can negate a personal experience. Frank's box ...laughable my friends.
I have to agree with Tom here. The Frank's Box, IMHO, is a P.O.S. when it comes down to it. All I have ever heard come out of it is snippits of radio conversations. Can one actually expect to decipher that tripe? You are much better off trying to use a raudive device attached to a digital or analog recorder. At least then you can rest assured that what is captured hasn't been tainted by stray radio, walkie-talkie or TV signals or another investigator whispering in the next room.
That being said, I have used an Ovilus and have had mixed results with it. You kinda got to take things with a grain of salt when it comes to these devices. If you are interested in hearing what I got with an Ovilus visit my page at www.pastofky.com and register. That will give access to our multimedia page. There you can find a couple of instances where I was using an Ovilus and had some results....but I am still skeptical. WHile it used words that are NOT programmed into it's memory, the jury is still out with this as far as I am concerned.
One thing about these has me scratching my head.it was something that happened to me when I was about 7 or 8 years old, No it wasnt paranormal but at first it freaked me out. it was around 1972 and I had one of those "cool" hi tech at the time portable plastic RCA phonographs that you would unfold ,plug it in and play records. Well it was at night and I was listening to either John Denver or the Who (yes I had and still have extremely varied musical tastes haha ) While I was listening to it I heard my Uncles Jay's voice coming thru the speaker... first thing I want to say is that my uncle was alive and was actually living in the cottage in our back yard with my Grandma. I lifted the tone arm (needle) off of the record I was playing and I could hear it plain as day and I it sounded like he was talking on his CB radio by what he was saying and how he was talking (He was a long haul truckdriver and also had a base station ,besides for those of you old enough to remember... CB radios were a huge craze in the70's and it seemed like everyone had them because they were the "in" thing to have) I went to Grandmas place and sure enough he was using the CB and I told him that I heard his voice on my phonogrgaph and sure enough he has said those things. So somehow his radio signal found their way onto my little phonograph which had no radio of any type so there was no antenna in the unit that would have picked up the signal. It has me wondering if these ghost boxes have some kind of filter to keep radio transmissions out.Im not saying talk boxes are fake or the real deal or anything its just something that I have been thinking about.
Just a thought.

Ok, so on Ghost Adventures what is that "talk box" they use that the spirits actually can talk through, the one with the visor type glasses?
Video Ovilus: very easy to make with spy camera glasses with a usb hook-up for your computer, along with a word data base box wich is the ovilus, can go online for software for the devices, we made several of them.
