In 2005 used to live about 15 minutes from Gettysburg, PA, (I love living there in fact were moving back as soon as my wifes job transfers her to a location there) Anyway, I enjoyed eating at the Farnsworth House so I would go there from time to time for a treat because its a bit pricey. I had 3 experiences on different occasions there. The one that sticks out most in my mind happened in the restroom while I was washing my hands for dinner. It is a small room and as I was washing up, I felt something like a breeze or kind of tickle on the back of my neck. I figured that it was a breeze from the window but it was closed tight. I kind of shrugged it off then it happened again and then again. By now I knew something was up, I kind of playfully said "stop that" then in the next instant I felt a fast scratch like sensation on the same spot on my neck, then it got cold, not the whole room, just the area around my head and shoulders. Keep in mind this is a single occupant bathroom and as I said its small, so I was the only person in there. Well after that I went into the dining room and had my dinner, after I got done eating I walked a down the street to a store in town that I do Civil War reproduction leather work for and I talked with the manager for a bit, on my way out she (the manager) said to me "what happened to your neck? I couldnt see back obviously so she took a hand held mirror and had me stand in front of a standing mirror. There plain as day were three scratch marks ,the outside two were pretty red and the middle scratch actually drew a tiny bit blood. I told here what had happened earlier and she jokingly said"you probably did it yourself " Then I showed her my hands, I have a bad habit of constantly biting and gnawing on my fingernails when Im bored so I have no nails to speak of, in fact I have to use a coin to open a soda can because my nails are not long enough to even catch lift up thingie on the can. Another time my son and I saw a dark shadow (not transparent, I couldnt see thru it) like shape move into a corner and disappear into the corner wall, on another occasion about a month later, I felt a distinct an icy cold spot at my table about 3 feet from where I saw the dark shape disappear into the wall in the corner. I saw no AC registers in the floor, ceiling of walls anywhere. I cant say with any degree of certainty that the cold spot was paranormal, it happened for a few seconds then was gone and my friend that was with me didnt feel it , only I felt it , so I have no one to back up what I felt, it could have been something totaly non paranormal in nature.

[/quote] Your "experiences" seem pretty paranormal to me.. Have there ever been any investigations done at this place? Thanks for sharing!
Im a student of the Civil War, so many young men lost their lives in Gettysburg on during the fighting on July 1st thru the 3rd, and also in the days and months following the war in Camp Letterman which was a huge field hospital. I also had a interesting experience in what they now call the Jenny Wade house.Jenny Wade was the only civilian casualty of the battle of Gettysburg, I was visiting the house with my roommate , we were in the basement which is where they placed her body during the battle untill they could bury her after the battle was over. That area was in Confederate hands much of the time and the Union forces were less than a block away and there was still a lot of fighting going on in that area so it was not safe to be outside with all the bullets zipping around .The walls in the basement are stone and theres a decent sized matal chain mounted on each wall to keep visitors in the area set aside for them. We were sitting on the bench, it was the end of November, toward the end of the tourist season so we were the only ones in there except for the employees in the office upstairs. Well as we sat there I was looking around kind of taking it all in and I glanced at the chain and it started swinging in circles.. well not exactly swinging, the best way for me to describe it is it was moving like a jump rope when two people are turning it in unison. The chain moved just like that. After about 30 secoonds or so it stopped, it actually stopped rotating all at once and was perfectly still after that.I had elbowed my roommate when it started to bring it to his attention. After it had stopped I asked if he saw it too and he said yes and he asked if I had done it. I said no, heck I couldnt have done it by my myself if I had tried because if I had it would have rotated more like a screw... the side it was being rotated from would have been in movement well before the other side where no one was.I said out loud," if someone is here that did that, please do it again. Then after a minute or so I asked " were you wanting to get my attention, if so do you want to tell me something?" We sat there for a few minutes to see if anything else was going to happen but it didnt. Then to prove it to myself I tried rotating it from the side and it did just like I said it would.. it would have taken a second set of hands to make it rotate evenly like it did and when I stopped moving it, it stayed moving for quite a while, it slowed down gradually, not all of the sudden like it had just minutes earlier. I tried kind of shaking the stone walls and lightly pounding on them with the side of my fist to see if that would cause any movment but it didnt. I didnt pound it hard or anything, it is an old place and I would never do anything to damage it in any way shape or form. All I can say is we both witnessed it, I wish I would have had a cam corder but I didnt, it would have been great footage. if it happened to us Im sure it has happened before. Maybe someday someone will see it and get it on tape. My room mate always kind of joked with me concerning my belief in the paranormal and still does from time to time. He was a non believer and now he says that hes a borderline sceptic after seeing the chain did its thing like it did.I think he is a believer but he wont admit it because he asks me questions relating to the paranormal a lot since then. I am really looking forward to moving back there, its not because of the experiences Ive had there, but because from the first moment I set foot there I felt at home. its the most beautifull place Ive ever been and I love the weather. I was born in Arizona and other than the year or so I lived in PA, I have lived here pretty much my whole life.Folks there thought I was crazy because I was outside shoveling snow with no coat and sometimes I would even wear short sleeves in the middle of the winter. Anyway, for now I live in St David, Az, its 15 minutes from Tombstone I would like to do an investigation there sometime.
