Does anyone currently use a full spectrum video camera? If so, have you had any sucess with it and what type would you recommend?
as i know now the only full spectrum video cameras out are those svp models. I could be wrong equipment in this field changes every day. The high definition model would be the best one for better viewing the regular model is a little iffy...
High Definition Full Spectrum Video Camera T-700/718 HD is one of the leading allowing you to see through all the light spctrums from IR light, Normal Light and UV light, giving a much clearer picture all round. Check out the link below.

Yes I did get myself one of these and I can't complain to much about it, except the battery life is not one of the greatest when using it in HD, and to try an put extra IR and UV lighting on it makes it very clumsy and unstable. Picture quailty is better than I thought when seeing it first hand, rather than on one of the shows.

Hey...I did come up with a way to add a light to these cameras. All of the ones I have seen are VERY small and I assume most, like mine, do not have a tripod mounting hole to attach a light bracket to.
I picked up some velcro strips from Walmart. I attached a standard flat light bracket to my PhantomLite and then put the velcro on the bracket, on the back of my PhantomLite and then on the bottom of the camera and the back of the LCD panel.
So basically I stick the camera to the light. This allows me one handed operation and makes it not much clumsier than any other handheld camera.
I may add a grip handle to the bottom of the bracket if I can find one laying around.
