I know this is a touchy subject for some out there, but I think it's something that should be asked.
Do you feel that the Church's should be more involved with those who believe they are being haunted? I have done a few cases in the homes of people who are very spiritual and attend Church faithfully, doing many things for the Church too, but when it came down to asking for help with there problems the Church did not know what to do, except Pray. I go to Church also and very much a true believer in Christ but I too have been shunned by some of the Church congregation when they found out I was a paranormal investigator.
I had one client who went as far as asking to meet me in a restaurant so that know one saw me coming to the home for the interview as a number of her congregation lived around her.
I believe that Churches could learn a lot from good Paranormal groups in how to help those of there congregation come to terms with whatever it might be, and how they can "if it is really haunted" empower themselves in taking back there homes if that is what they wish.
It is always good to have someone of faith with paranormal groups or teams who can bless homes as I have found this puts a lot of clients at peace.
Again these are just my thoughts, I am very sure you all have yours and I would love to hear them.
Both of my parents are Pentecostal Ministers and until a few years ago, my mother (who always had me believe that my visions and gifts were demonic based) revealed to me that this is a gift that she as well as many women in my family shares throughout our lineage (being sensitive to paranormal experiences). I always thought I was stalked by Satan because it is against the Christian belief to think anything more than "good people go to heaven" and "bad people got to hell"..case closed. There is no after life or between life and souls who are trapped are only voices or experiences created by the devil to persuade you of course..Now everything I was raised to believe is questionable (at best) and I have researched and explored enough to know that these teachings are not true and that the only thing my mother was trying to do was to protect me from "being a freak" which I don't believe I am. I am a well educated and successful woman who is comfortable with my gifts (whatever they may be) and I am married to a man with similar gifts who has children with special gifts and that is ok. If we took the strong religiosity belief system of my mother out of the equation I probably would be even more gifted....

Leah thank you for sharing this with us, I too know a few that have similar gifts within the paranormal field, and some of them went through there early lives being told much the same thing as you, but have come to terms with what they have and use it to there advantage. These gift range from dreams, feeling the energy from someone or thing and one friend I know has the ability around most living things, I don't pretend to understand what they know or are capable of but I am always willing to learn more from them every time we meet. I am not sure but would I not be right in saying that these Gifts/Powers would they be not classed as sixth sence?
