Some weeks ago I purchased a 16 channel dvr system and cameras which are HD 1080p, but I have found that the cable wires which came with the unit are just standard unsheilded wires and connections. So I started looking for shielded wiring but only came across shielded wiring with signal boosters every 100 ft making this wiring very expensive.
Then I came across double shielded Fibre optic cables that claim to need no boosters and claim that video quality would increase 85% compared to standard wiring.
So before I go and spend my money on this I was just wondering does anyone have real knowledge of fibre optic cables that would like to share or point me in the right direction to whom to ask. I run 1000 ft cables for each camera. I would really like my equipment to run in true HD if I can, I also would like to know if FOC would stand up to what we would do in the field.
