Anyone using any experimental or modified equipment and care to share details / results on the equipment. Were currently not using anything out of the normal, but always trying to think of new equipment to use in the field.
I'd love to know how to modify a digital still camera or better yet, a video recorder to be a full spectrum camera. I wonder though, if you do manage to get/build a full spectrum camera, what type of illumination do you need to use along with in total darkness?
hey Clint check out http://www.moditronic.com/index.htm they have some rather cheap full spectrum and infrared hd camcorders that use SD cards. A friend of mine has the full spectrum and it is sick. I guess Brit uses there stuff on GH
If your looking for cheap cameras and gizmos to experiment with, try going to: shopgoodwill.com tons of film/digital cameras up for auction, along with tons of other stuff. Not sure if it is helpful, but I bet you find something u can't live without! LOL (beware the shipping costs,,,kinda pricey)
Great Idea Ed, thanks!
ahem.. thats "El" , Ryan... :)
I'm going to call this experimental for now, but I purchased the RT-EVP by Pro-Measure. I had to wait a little over a month for it, but should be receiving it tomorrow. The company claims it's the "world's first real time interactive voice recorder and integrated spirit box combination device" marketed specifically toward those in the paranormal field. When our group's coordinator was alive, he communicated regularly with the maker of this device who assured us that it was a piece of equipment that was sure to "wow" the paranormal community. It is expensive, over $200, but if it does everything it is supposed to do - it will be worth the price. As soon as I can use it in a proper setting (i.e. investigation or haunted location), I'll report my results. If anyone wants to read about it, let me know and I'll send you the link for the website.
