Certainly the Moditronic HD FS Cameras require some serious output of Illumination predominantly IR, they dont seem to see very much into the UV at all. I do prefer the GhostStop.com FS Camera only because it sees more of the light spectrum, whether this gets more results I dont know but least Im filming something that isnt just a black screen.
I was just reading online that if you remove the ir filter from your camera and replace it with a piece of plain glass it will become full spectrum. Anybody else heard of this?
Glass is a natural UV filter, for it to be actualy full spectrum you would actually need to replace the lenses with a crystal however there are a few of the HD Cameras that do see a very small amount of UV but this is essentially UV thats seen with the naked eye around the 380 - 400nm range the best Ive found for the $200 converted cameras is the GhostStop.com version. I would also recommend if you truly want to experiemnt in Full Spectrum photography that you save your pennies as an actual FS Camera with high quality images will set you back around $700 and anything upto $5000
