Right ... this sounds an odd one... but... On quite a few occassions i have noticed that i have mild symptoms from patients i visit ...or my family!! if we go to a genuine back pain/chest pain/headaches etc ...i sometimes feel it ...in the same location as the patient ...similar type of pain too. I try not to put words into patients mouths ...if you ask someone if their pain is sharp in nature some will just say yes ...you can ask the same patient if their pain is dull in natuere and they'll say yes to that too ...so i let them tell me!! but i sometimes know what they are going to tell me ..because i can feel it!!
Strange i know ..but has anyone else ever experienced this kind of thing?? I feel kind of stupid sharing this, but i am interested to see if anyone else has done this, or am i a crazy hypercondriac!!
Jason / KB, I apologize for not finding your response when you posted. BadBoy is on the mark with conditioning of the mind.
If you can recognize when the situation you are in is likely to result in an empathic transfer of some nature; you can begin to deal with it before it affects you significantly. Essentially you will learn to divert the energy elsewhere by telling yourself something like "OK, here it comes, I'm going to acknowledge it, then put it over here."
The "over here" is the protection and will, in part, depend on your beliefs and faith. It is a matter of what is comfortable for you. As BadBoy mentioned, many people keep this energy within their own body until they can drain it away. It may be drained away with chant, prayer, meditation, or a simple focus of thought. There may be a target for this drain like a book, a stone / pendant, or other object. With practice you may find you can initiate this drain almost subconsciously to counter events as they happen. If you use a target object you may want to try to find something you can have with you in these situations.
