I'm familiar with the different theories as to what these are or are not. I honestly don't have an opinion one way or another at this time. However, I do feel that there is something paranormal in my case.
I don't have breathing or snoring problems. I am Catholic and have religious items in my apartment. But I've always had those things, and they don't seem to matter. The St Michael's prayer worked very well for me after my one (and hopefully last) time I encountered a demonic on one of my investigations. I don't suspect that occurance has anything at all to do with my current situation.
My "friend" is getting more and more aggressive with me, and I am fighting back. I was successful once not too long ago by imagining a psychic energy barrier between myself and him. Another time I scared him off when I saw him while I was still wide awake. He looked like he was waiting for me to fall asleep. When I yelled at him, he disappeared.
Last night was the kicker, though. My body wasn't pinned like it usually gets. This time it was just my arms and I kept trying to pull my arms free from his grip. I could move a little bit, but not much. I've also had several occurances of sleep paralysis, and I can say for sure that my boogeyman is not sleep paralysis. I know from experience these are two different things.
I say "he" and "his" because I finally got to see something of a face. He appeared to be caucasian (do shadows have race?) and he sported a mustache. He didn't appear to be anyone I knew.
