Hay boo's, I need some education please!
So long story short, I moved into our gate house yesterday and it feels inhabited, but also includes what could just be serious and significant "symptoms" of EMF hypersensitivity. To test this I go get my gadgets to check it out but I don't understand what I'm getting or how it works really.
For example, there are areas that are off the EMF charts when the detector is set to the 0-3 (not sure what this actually measures) I attribute this to an old building, crappy wiring, electric heater, iron pipes, my computers, etc. This seemed pretty evident. The K2 also would go off when brought into contact with these various sources.
So what does the k2 measure? It must be different because once I placed them a bit apart, both in a low reading area, the detectors were not reading the same way/time (I also did this with the Trifield set to the other setting). Either way the trifield remained steady and low, but the K2 started going off randomly, then picked up "speed", then stopped - did this for quite some time. This morning, same sort of thing, only now it's lighting up through the red lights. I've tried counting in between to see if there is some sort of constant "pulse" hitting it, but there was/is no consistency or pattern that I have as yet picked up.
My basic question is this: how do EMF's move/travel through space. How far away from a source of high EMF's does something or someone have to be before it's "clear". For example, if my computer is 5 feet away and the detectors go quiet a few inches away, can the EMF's still "escape" and hit it? Do you know what I mean?
What possible things might be going on EMF- wise in this place? Thanks :)
This post was edited by Jo-Anne Penn at January 25, 2011 10:20:14 AM ESTi dont have much knowledge on emfs & dont know if this will help but i have used and tested my 3 emf meters in many ways several times, i have a k2, cell sensor ghost meter which my cell sensor is much more sensitive than the ghost meter ones they make& sell for more with the same shell/parts"the ghost meter version of cell sensor is waste of money" because i used my cell sensor next to a friends ghost meter one and his was very weak at detecting emfs next to my em pump but my cell sensor was very sensitive to it, also my elf/zone emf meter i upgraded with sound, anyhow, my cell sensor has a 2way sensitiviyt setting high/low, i believe it also has a setting dial inside it on the wire board but didnt touch it for i like its setting as is, the dial on his ghost meter one is more visable but still inside the shell, i came to believe that all these have a different sensitivity setting that has been set by the company before being shipped, they all have some sort fo emf sensor on the board itself, some meters have a little sensor soildered onto the board that looks like a round pipe cylinder with a magnet cap on the end and some just have a wired sensor within the curciut board itself, with this in mind i beleive that all meters will sense very different with in the same emf surroundings, i also know that my k2 will sense certain emfs while the others wont and vice versa, my take on it is that it depends all on each of its sensors and sensitivity settings along on the output of pulsating emfs coming from a source or house. hope i didnt confuse you but i can try explain more if needed.
im not an electrician, but ive seen my emf meters react to close areas of my computers and wiring within my house but not going off in the middle of the rooms, but then i used them the same way at a private residence claiming activity but that house had very bad wiring all thru its house to where the meters were going of everywhere, even in the middle of the rooms, to the piont where i thought my meters were malfunctioning, then a few seconds later, not going off, i used electrical sensors there too and found out that the house wiring was so bad, it was pulsating current everywhere into the air in the rooms, then stops for a few, then goes on again back and forth, i havnt seen or heard of any emf meters sensing living humans energy, the reach distance i found can be different in every location, my house nothing in center of rooms, that other house, it was coming from all the walls into the center of rooms, you can maybe try doing a test at your location by turning off all fuse box switches in the panel, shut off all juice going to house, "fridge will be ok for a few minutes" then test all parts of house, knowing there is no juice coming in from the road. any energy pops up, youll know its not the house., however im still learning about emfs also but maybe try static electricity sensors or "E-pods" too. all i know is that my emf meters react differently in every house there used at, for each house has different electrical strenght & distance pulses due to its current/amp drive, the only way of knowing about a certain house is having a electrician test a house
This is great info guys, thanks - it's getting me to really think. :)
(btw, I'm in a building where I can see/hear/control all appliances (all in one room) I've kept the meters in the same locations now for many hours - approx. in the center of the room where the base readings are nothing. But only the k2 kicks into action out of the blue.
I did know about the thunderstorms, microwaves, washer/dryers, pipes, wiring, etc., even compact fluorescent bulbs from my own "experiments" some time ago, but what I still don't get is the "reach". If the meters are dead quiet and nothing changes, but the lights start going, what's "reaching it"?
Also I didn't know the apparent lingering effects a cell phone call could have.
For example, it seems that for many seconds after a cell phone call has been ended, the lights continue to go. (also right before it rings). So I started to wonder what influence a wireless router (at a distance) might also have? AND, what possible effect being in a mostly stone building could have for "trapping"/bouncing around EMF's that might then blast "randomly" and set the lights off. (I know steel can "move" and "bend" EMF's in some way, but what about stone?)
If these options are not really viable, then under my particular conditions, I still don't get what is making the lights go the way they are/do. How and from where is a field reaching it?
If, in fact, these other factors might come into play, then that begs the question: wouldn't the meters be useless to paranormal investigations?
Btw, the "lights" seem to respond to ABBA and Lady GaGa, and a few others, but don't care for AC/DC (what do they know? ;). The music is soft, but could it put out a frequency or anything that could affect the lighting of the lights? (not a direct vibration kind of thing) It's still dead calm on the TriField. (on the other side of the same table) :)
PS - interesting observation: My daughter came up for a while and the dang lights stopped altogether - the whole time she was here. As soon as she left, they came back on and started partying again! WTF?
